My feelings today against the enormous global front of corruption, deviance and aberration are the same feelings [I had against] the repressive monarchist regime of Shahs. We had to struggle those days and I believe we must struggle today, too. We are [men] of struggle; however the form, arena and aspects of the struggle has changed and it has turned more complicated and tougher; the agonies of this struggle are stronger than the agonies of the struggle at Shahs times.

من امروز احساسم در مقابل جبهه‌ى عظيم جهانى فساد و ضلالت و گمراهى، با احساس دوران اختناق رژيم ستمشاهى هيچ تفاوتى نكرده است. آن روز هم فكر مى‌كرديم بايد مبارزه كنيم، امروز هم فكر مى‌كنم بايد مبارزه كنيم. ما براى مبارزه‌ايم؛ منتها شكل، عرصه و ابعاد اين مبارزه تفاوت كرده و مبارزه پيچيده‌تر و سخت‌تر شده است؛ خونِ دل اين مبارزه از خونِ دل مبارزه‌ى دوران ستمشاهى بيشتر است.
