Khalida, 34, sits under a cover with her 2 youngest children, Nourjan, 9, and Hammoudi, 2.5, at their home in the Palestinian refugee camp of Chatila in #Beirut's suburbs. Khalida, a Syrian #Kurd from Kobani fled with her 4 children to Lebanon 7 months ago after #Kobani became under siege by the so-called Islamic State. A wonderful woman, who was never allowed to continue her studies, insists that her children go to school, she wants them to have a brighter future than hers. She kept repeating a saying we have in Arabic القناعة كنز لا يفنى, which means "contentment is a treasure that never perishes".
