اگر شخصی به اندازه تمامِ عمرِ دنیا، از ابتدا تا انتها، عمر کند و در همه این مدت با تمام توان به عبادت خدا مشغول باشد و به جای اشک از چشمانش خون جاری شود، در قبال نعمت های خداوند و اینکه شما را به سوی "ایمان" هدایت کرده کافی نخواهد بود. نهج البلاغه - خطبه 52
از دست و زبان که برآید
کز عهده شکرش به در آید
Nahjulbalagha: If a man lives a life equal to that of the complete age of this world and during all this duration he is busy in devotedly worshiping God and his eyes start shedding blood instead of tears, all this will not be enough against the blessings of God and that he has guided you towards "faith" (in his path).
