Ordinary life resumes as traffic moves along in the ancient city of Lahore where the worlds fifth largest mosque stands tall and proud.The gorgeous Badshahi Mosque holds quite the history as it was built in 1673 by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. After the downfall of the Mughal Empire, the triumphant Sikhs used it as stables for army horses and finally several decades after the British colonized the subcontinent, it was restored to being a mosque once again.
