Friends by a fruit stand in the north of Kabul. It's around about the height of the summer fruit season, in Afghanistan. Although mangoes are on their way out (most come from Pakistan) and the piles of ruby-like pomegranate jewels—ready to be made into fresh juice—are a couple of months off yet, some of Afghanistan's major exports—apricots, grapes, melons and almonds—are in abundance on the streets of Kabul, at the moment.
