Guanabara Bay with Sugarloaf Mountain on the background. All this beauty hides one of the biggest problems for the Olympic Games in Rio 2016: the huge pollution of the bay waters where all the sailing competitions will be held. Many brazilian and foreing sailors in pre olympic tournaments reported seeing sofas, televisions sets and even the body of a dead dog floating in the bay. And a unbelivable amount of PET bottles and plastic bags.

Toda essa beleza esconde um dos maiores problemas para as Olimpíadas de 2016 no Rio de Janeiro: a imensa poluíção da Baía, onde serão realizadas todas as competições de vela. Alguns velejadores brasileiros e estrangeiros em competições pré olimpícas relataram terem vistos sofás, aparelhos de televisão e até o corpo de um cachorro morto boiandando nas águas da baía. Fora o inacreditável número de garrafas pet e sacos plásticos.
