A general view of the Iranian troglodyte village of Kandovan, about 60 kms south of Tabriz, the capital of Iran's East Azarbaijan province, 29 March 2016.
Kandovan, where less than 1000 people live in cave dwellings has been built on a bed of volcanic rocks in the Sahand mountain which date back to about 3000 years ago and some caves are still inhabited.
