A historic event took place in Kabul tonight. The first ever all-female orchestra performed to a crowd of 400 at a music hall in the city's south. The orchestra is the product of the Afghan National Institute of Music (ANIM), the country's only music school. It was an auspicious night for countless reasons, but after an ANIM performance was targeted by a suicide bomber in December 2014, tonight's performance was represented a rare victory for a country unaccustomed to them.
