🔰Tehran Hosts International Conference on Gaza🔰
TEHRAN -- An international
conference on Palestine was held here Saturday with the participation of representatives from over 50 countries.
Hosted by Iran’s foreign ministry, the single-day event addressed the latest developments in the Palestinian and occupied territories.
Those attending, former and present diplomats, exchanged views on the political and legal impacts of the Gaza war. They also examined the avenues for an immediate halt to the crimes committed in Palestine.
Earlier Saturday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani announced that government officials, prominent political and religious figures, intellectuals and media activists from over 50 countries would take part in the one-day event.
President Ebrahim Raisi told the conference that the United States and Israel must be tried at the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity during the Israeli onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.
The president condemned the crimes of Israel, including massacre of women and children and the destruction of Palestinian homes in Gaza. He also blasted the unconditional support of the so-called advocates of human rights, not least the United States and certain Western countries, for the crimes against the Palestinians.
