A group of Qawwals seen performing in Karachi. Qawwali is a form of Sufi devotional music popular in South Asia, particularly Pakistan. Internationally it became very popular when the famous Pakistani Qawwal, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan did numerous tours of the west. He even collaborated in Hollywood for OSTs (Dead Man Walking performed with Eddie Vedder). Today marks the 18th death anniversary of the great legend who passed away in 1997.
