The latest on Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks. First founded in 2006, WikiLeaks garnered international attention in 2010 with the leak of classified government documents provided to Assange by Chelsea Manning. That same year, amid pending criminal charges against Assange from multiple countries, Ecuador granted Assange asylum, allowing him to stay in the country U.K. embassy. Ecuador revoked Assange's asylum in 2019, resulting in Assange's arrest. He now faces a U.S. charge of violating the Espionage Act of 1917.
