از زمین نگاه می‌کنم

چشمان غمگین و اشک‌آلودت را می‌بینم

نگاهت را از من برمی‌گردانی

و می‌بینم چیزی هست که سعی می‌کنی پنهان کنی

و دستم را به سمت دستت دراز می‌کنم اما سرد است

دوباره کنار می‌کشم

و من تعجب می‌کنم چه چیزی در ذهنت می‌گذرد

و بعد به من می‌گویی که اشتباه احمقانه‌ای مرتکب شده‌ای

شروع به لرزیدن می‌کنی و صدایت شروع به شکستن می‌کند

می‌گویی سیگارهای روی پیشخوان مال دوستت نبود

مال رفیقم بودند

و احساس می‌کنم رنگ از رخسارم پریده است

و دوستم گفت

«می‌دانم که دوستش داری، اما تمام شده رفیق، مهم نیست، گوشی را بگذار کنار، رفتن هیچ‌وقت آسان نیست، بگذار برود، درست می‌شود
