💠IRGC: Zionist Regime Will Certainly Pay for Crime💠
The IRGC said in a statement on Monday that one of its top commanders in Syria, Brig. Gen. Razi Mousavi, was martyred in an Israeli missile attack. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued a message the same day, warning that the Zionist regime “will certainly pay for this crime.”
Gen. Sharif on Wednesday vowed a “harsh revenge” against the occupying for assassinating Gen. Mousavi.
Asked whether Iran will retaliate directly or through the “Axis of Resistance”, Gen. Sharif said: “A combination of the two will certainly be carried out.”
He said the Zionist regime targeted Gen. Mousavi due to the “irreparable defeats” it suffered following the October 7 attacks. Israel assassinated Gen. Mousavi “in order to get rid of the pressure of the relentless attacks of the resistance front in Gaza”, he said.
Gen. Mousavi was in charge of providing “logistical support to the Axis of Resistance in Syria,” the IRGC statement said, adding that he was a “companion” of Gen. Soleimani.
Gen. Sharif said Mousavi had a good experience in equipping the resistance and confronting Israelis, adding that he played a vital role along with the resistance front in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group in Syria.
