Not to become stronger,

But to escape the chaos of people who wouldn't stay.

There came a point when I realized their half-hearted presence

Was heavier than their complete absence.

So I fell silent,

I closed the doors,

And let everyone go their own way.

Now my world is emptier,

Colder,

But more honest.

There’s no one left for me to expect anything from,

No heart left to be trampled.
